Time Out

I'm probably going to be absent for a few days. I'm more than furious to put it lightly. I have nothing rational or constructive to say and my only desire is to plot the downfall of a real estate agent (our short sale negotiator) in Colorado. I can't help but think some of this anger is fueled by my pregnancy hormones but nothing would make me happier than to ruin his professional life so I think I should ground myself from publishing things on the internet. I'm grounded.

BUT, if you want to send me any tips like the following sent to me via facebook:

"Subscribe his email to every fetish porn site you can google. "
(Thanks A, I know you've got my back!)

Any others???

I love you guys and will be back when I can see through the flames in my eyes.

P.S. I never understood people that couldn't control their anger. i've always been so controlled but this transaction is sending me over the edge. I'm sooo over the edge.

Not to offend people that put couches on their porch but...

I used to live in the Caribbean. Most of you know this and if you didn't, you know now but that isn't the important part. The important part about that sentence essentially means, I've seen cockroaches.

Cockroaches.

When I say cockroaches, I don't mean, normalish, bug size things. I mean things you can put a saddle on and ride around the island catching the sights and breathing the warm air.

BIG. They were big and you could hear them walk, their feet tapping away on the ground. They were gross, they were everywhere, they pushed up out of your drains, even when you had the stopper on, plugging the drain and water coming down at full speed on top of said drain. These things mortified me. I'm not a bug girl. I don't feel the need to understand them, want to hold them, want them near me. I would rather hold a magnifying glass to them with the sun shining through and watch them burn. Actually, I would rather have them killed quickly, more humane, but not because I'm nice, just because I don't want them to run away on me and survive.

I told you before, Geoff is nicer than I am. He keeps them alive, not cockroaches because I've never seen him handle a cockroach, but he says if he sees a bug, he'll pick it up and put it outside. I want it dead.

In Turks, nothing killed cockroaches, you could hear them laugh at cockroach poison, like you challenged them to a duel they could win. And they would. They were immune to cockroach poison but they weren't immune to the boat captain that lived next to me. I would knock on his door in panic until he answered and promised to attack the invaders. He would kill and I would move on with my day, a little shook up but would move on.

I did learn one thing about Cockroaches the size of commercial dump trucks: AquaNet. Cockroach poison didn't do anything but when the boat captain was gone one day and I had to confront those things on my own, I pointed my roommate's hair spray at one guy and AquaNet brought that sucker down to his knees! Death by bang spray.

I think things that are invading my space should die. I don't get why people think this is so wrong. If animals feel threatened, you know, like lions or something, they would fight the threatening intruder, sometimes until death. I know this because I've seen the Animal Channel before. This sounds crazy to those that know I don't really like animals.

"OMG, she is evil, she HATES animals!"

I know you are thinking that. I'm not a fan of hair, or jumping on me, or making me buy you food for your ENTIRE life while you just drool on me and my friends and then make my house dirty and my black pants hairy right before I'm going out to happy hour. NOT INTO IT.

You can have an animal, that is cool, I just don't want them. Hairy things or bugish things are not on my top friends list. SO, no surprise that I wouldn't like mice, right?

The house.

Come on, you KNEW I was going to mention it. If you are new here (HI!!!) , we have been under contract with this awesome house in the mountains on 10 acres for NINE months! To make a super long and mostly negative story short, we think we got the house. Well, the second lien holder approved and we are suppose to close in less than a week. We have yet to believe it because we've been so screwed over by the short sale process so I'm still holding off on the big announcement with updates. BUT, a house on 10 acres in the middle of mountains with deer and bears and mountain lions also mean mice. MICE. I didn't think of this when I fell in love with the house and its big windows and formal dining room and told Geoff they are NOT welcome and I will indeed freak out and scream like a chick in a bad sci fi. I will.

Geoff and I are on the same page about a lot of things and on way different pages about others. When it comes to health and cleanliness, we are pretty close. I clean and he likes it that way. Nice right? No, really, if any of us feel something is threatening our health or just plain gross, we change it. My friend once asked me if it was hard not to blog about a fight you get into. This is our venting right? Our thoughts thrown out to the internet. Well, it is. We don't fight often and if we do, it's about the X Box and sometimes I want to tell you guys about it and for all of you to say, "Holly, you are SOOOOO right!"

Here is your chance. I don't think we got in a fight because we weren't even mad but we disagreed on something and it bugged me. The house was full of crap the prior owners left in it. CRAP. Stuff we are taking to the dumpster, and this stuff takes up almost a full two car garage! Geoff emptied everything out of the house we are throwing away and I wasn't sure why two gross couches and a mattress set were left inside. If I know one thing about mice, I know they would happily nest in a comfy place than somewhere hard and cold. I'm POSITIVE that mice made mansion homes in these couches and mattresses and I want the OUT! Geoff thinks we should use the mattress set for our guest bedroom.

I ask: Which one of you would sleep on that damn thing? MICE lived in there, seriously, I know it, and trust me, I'm ALWAYS right! I refuse to keep them in the house.

Then the couches, I was sure he thought they were as putrid as I did. They are floral, which I'm not fan of, but the biggest thing is they are DIRTY. I mean, the cushions that are suppose to be almost white are dark brown. DARK BROWN and you know what Geoff says, "Why would we throw out couches?"

Ummmm, because we are not going to end on TLC Hoarders. That is why. OH and they are sick. AND ugly, and there were mice in them.

"How do you know there were mice in them? We can put them on the porch?"

DIRTY COUCHES on our pretty porch? Are we really that white trash?

I fumed a little bit at his stupid ideas because they are stupid right? RIGHT?! I mean, was he joking? Maybe hit his head earlier yesterday morning but didn't tell me about it? I took a bath to think about how I was going to approach the situation and just decided I was going to be the perfect wife regarding the MOUSE MATTRESS and POOP COUCH.

I was going to do it behind his back. I mean, guys are forgetful right? I don't think he'll even notice. I can't take mice advice from a guy that would probably pick them up and throw them outside.

Because, Hell, I'm stocking up on AquaNet.

Need Short Sale Help!!!

I'm making a plea.

Seriously. This is to anyone that might have an answer. This is my message in a bottle.

We've been under contract for NINE months now. Nine. Nothing seems to move along. I'm due in eight weeks. We are in a place until the 24th of April. I'm suppose to have a baby just a few short weeks after. If we don't close by the 24th, we have to move, AGAIN.

My husband and I go back and forth on our angry days. Sunday I was furious. Angry doesn't eve begin to describe the feeling. I can't be positive anymore. I have nothing nice left to say. It seems that most of this mess comes down to having a lazy negotiator. (A realtor in the Denver area whose name I will give out gladly if you want to know who to avoid.)

If I understand correctly, the negotiator is hired to be the go between: the banks and the parties involved.

What if that person is incompetent, can't formulate an email to save his life, is rude, is disliked by both realtors and spends his time tweeting?

Or says that he can't make a phone call because he starts his second job at 11am? If you can't do your first job, don't get a second. Perhaps you wouldn't need a second job if you did your first.

What if you made a call to a bank he's said he's been trying to get a hold of for two months but can't get off hold and you get through in less than five minutes... to a person who says you got through to the right department and could of helped if you knew the loan number.

But you don't, because you aren't given that info.

We are told we aren't allowed to contact anyone, the more we try, the more our file gets placed at the bottom but my husband was too annoyed today.

We can't sit back any longer.

If I could fire the negotiator, I would. If I could take things into my own hands, I would of long ago. If I could drive a tank through a few homes, I would.

What if the negotiator says the people he got verbal approval from don't work at the bank anymore. This "verbal approval" was suppose to be followed by a letter days later. Meanwhile almost two months have gone by since this "verbal approval".

What if you seldom hear from this negotiator, you wonder if he got fired but no one bothered to tell you, meanwhile you sit and wait for a house you were suppose to close on last year?

We are told the banks don't care if you threaten to walk away.

We've jumped through endless hoops. Agreed to pay money we hear we are legally NOT suppose to pay but the greedy banks require to close the deal.

Money to pay off the second lien holder.

And HOA's that aren't even ours.

We are told we must pay for an HOA overdue balance for a property the pervious owners of the house bought. This is not even for the house or the land the house sits on, this is for land we aren't purchasing but it's another few grand we have to bring to closing because the banks holding onto the house WE BID ON say so. We can't close on the house unless we pay this. Oh sure, they say we'll be reimbursed when they have proof that it isn't our HOA. They said the maximum time this short sale would ever take would be six months. They said we would for sure close in December.

They say a lot, don't they?

We have jumped through so many hoops. It seems like some of this is fraud but people have no where to turn.

Where do we turn?

Where do others turn?

What do we do?

Is there anyone out there???

1st lien holder: Bank of America
2nd lien holder: One West (Indy Mac)
Negotiator: A Keller Williams Agent

UPDATE: Our negotiator seemed to get in contact with people, located the file (had no idea he couldn't locate it), and filed complaints with all sorts of departments. He also snuck in a nasty comment about my husband calling people yesterday saying that by us doing so, we won't get anything done. Strange because AFTER our negotiator gets wind of us trying to stir the pot, he gets a bunch of things done in a matter of a few hours where he couldn't even make a phone call in a matter of MONTHS.

Hopefully more updates soon... and not like in three months soon...

My Disappearing Act

Is it really already Friday and I haven't posted one thing this week? Wow. Well, ummm, I've been super busy. Really busy. You know, doing things like:

Catching up on the Office and watching re-runs just in case I missed a joke.

Wondering how Michelle Duggar sneezes without peeing her pants.

Reading books.

Internally debating whose boobs are bigger: mine or Jessica Simpson's.

These things take up lots of time.

I'm also trying to be more positive regarding our house. Our house. I call it, "our house." Can you believe that? Am I delusional? You know when nothing else can go wrong and it does and then you think, "That is it, nothing ELSE can go wrong." Then something does go wrong. That would be the house, our house. It's going to be OUR house.

So on a POSITIVE note, we passed our latest inspection. This was actually a huge hurdle. One that required cutting holes in the wall to catch leaks from broken pipes that wouldn't of occurred had the bank done their job in a timely manner. Oh yeah, positive, so Yippee, we passed inspection!

I'm going to keep up my positive and tell you how in love with my husband I am. I'm so crazy about that guy it's nutty. The other night he got home really late. He was out the house doing all sorts of work before the inspection and his phone died. I couldn't help but worry myself wondering if something happened to the car and without a phone, no houses nearby, crazy snow, what would he do? What would I do? Did he get in an accident? I looked at accident reports. The thought of anything ever happening to him brings tears to my eyes. I can't believe I scored him, really.

I'm also getting my hair done today. I don't think I've had my hair done since August. I can say, my roots are probably longer than you hair, and you know what, I haven't really cared. With Sawyer I wanted to be the cute pregnant girl. WIth this girl, I could care less, I don't wear makeup, ever, my hair is always messy, my outfits don't match. I'm a wreck, truly. It was Geoff that finally said, "Baby, when do you want to schedule a hair appointment?" Ha! So, I did. I mean, someone has got to keep me in check!

And I'm thinking brown, dark brown. I've never been dark, dark brown. So, yeah, at 4pm I'm going to go to the salon to get smart. I think smart will look good with my boobies.

See the light? No? Lets make some!

I've been a little negative. Eeek. I spew my negative words on the internet and you guys make me feel better like a big drink of cold beer during a US versus Canada hockey game.

We went up the house today to measure for appliances we'll have to buy and generally say hi, give it a hug, the usual. I'll be short, I'll stay away from the negatives as much as possible and just say, it got broken into again. The sellers agent defends the owners but who else breaks a door in to steal cooking magazines, a 1970's exercise machine a funnel cake maker and dead plants? So, we didn't leave very happy but so many of you ask, WHY DO YOU STICK AROUND? BID ON A DIFFERENT HOUSE!

Easy answer: The house is awesome. Incredibly, awe-inspiring awesome. Actually not even awesome because that is just SOME AWE but the house is FULL of AWE. The house is AWE-FULL and we love it. Love is a B-word though and sometimes people get a little hurt. We are letting this process walk all over us, Hollywood style, while we lay down in red clothes, taking pictures and criticizing slutty outfits. Just like Joan would.

On a light and happy note though: I bought a diaper bag.

OMG, I bought a diaper bag, FINALLY! If you are new here (Cause, I have a few new followers, HELLO new friends, I promise to love you in sickness and health and...) I've been eying diaper bags long before Geoff knocked me up and stalked companies and stared at various styles finally falling in love with Timi and Leslie Diaper bags. Of course I didn't order one because I'm cheap and only spend money on food or diapers until Geoff got sick of me talking about Timi and Leslie Silver Satchel and said, "Buy the damn thing!" And then... I closed my eyes and pressed 'add to cart'. There was no turning back and I was proud and then got an email saying the bags were recalled. No pretty, shiny bag for Holly.

Until, until, UNTIL yesterday! Babysteals.com is a site you better not buy from because I love it and everything sells out in three minutes so I said I wasn't going to share the link with any one else, so please just look into this pen and FLASH (Men in Black). What was I saying? So, I bought a cute bag for $150 off! YEAH! It's not the bag I have dreamed about during my nap times but it's cute and it will do the trick and hello, I got a ROCKIN' DEAL!

Friends, meet bag. Diaper bag, meet friends.

Short Sales, Pigeons and Fake Boobies, Oh My!

Currently our kitchen looks like I burned something. You know when it's a little smokey, lines aren't as clear and it could just be your eyes getting old and not burnt toast? I didn't burn anything but insulation dust is coming down from the attic...where we are getting new insulation.

Why is this a big deal? Well, I'm over it. I'm over all our housing issues. We are renting and this price tag for insulation is not ours to pay but what is money compared to your health? Recap: We moved out of our condo and into an apartment in hopes to be here a few short weeks until we close on the short sale.

The short sale from hell.

My baby has never been sick a day in his life and since we lived into this new apartment, I've been dealing with illness. Yesterday I woke to throw-up all over his bed, then later in the day I was cleaning throw up off OUR bed and then again off the dining room floor. Green snot runs down his face. My boy is healthy but something tells me this apartment isn't. This place we live in is nice, it really is, but there is a pigeon problem. There are bug problems. There were feathers spewing from the vents onto our living room floor. After putting it all together: feathers and bugs and sickness, we complained-or I should say, we brought up this situation and they reacted quickly. Our vents are suppose to be sealed after finding pigeons living in them. All the insulation was torn out and today is being replaced. They say after today, we should see no more bugs, no feathers, no crap. It's just a little scary that a place you live in, the air you breath all day and all night was being ventilated through pigeon poop and feathers. The rats of the sky were living right above our heads and crapping in our ventilation system. As one of the workers cleaning out our attic says, the place was "BAD...two dead birds and trash bags full of shit." Nice, right?

We were offered a place to go tonight if the insulation bothers us, and now I know we are taking them up on that offer but as my puking boy went down for a nap before the kitchen situation was pointed out, I sit here and wait. I need to pack our stuff, get all the things we need for a night, including laptops for my hubbie's work, diapers, wipes, toys, food, etc and I'm spent knowing AS I think about the tasks ahead, I'm breathing in particles that are unhealthy for me, the 27 week old that resides within my uterus and my toddler boy.

We shouldn't have to deal with this. Since we have lived here, we've been inconvenienced. I don't need to be inconvenienced anymore than I already am waiting for this house to close.

Intermission: Are you really sticking by me while I complain? You are SUCH a good friend and I will buy you a beer.

The short sale: the further we get, the more hoops we have to jump through. My biggest piece of real estate advice to anyone and everyone is to NOT BID ON A SHORT SALE. I'll try to shorten my newest update. They are trying to get us a different type of loan so we don't have to put 20% down, that new loan requires a new inspection with a working kitchen. Fathom that, a WORKING kitchen! Since the owners (The male of the house is a CHRISTIAN author) STOLE the appliances, we must purchase more FOR A HOUSE WE DON'T OWN. Forgive my all in caps yelling, I'm a little pissy. The propane tank needs to be filled so the power is on and guess who pays for that? OH, and in order to get anyone there, we need to plow the driveway but that can't happen until we get access to the house and we can't get that access. Then, the loan people say they don't give out loans to people buying their second (or third, or whatever number besides first) house after January 1st, 2010 even if you can afford it and qualify. Too bad. THEN, we realized there are ways around that, like if your family is too big for your first house, then they WILL loan to you for a second. They will loan to us because we were irresponsible and got knocked up in a place too small but not because we have great credit and can afford it. Is this backwards to you? I mean, sure, lets all reward bad behavior, go AMERICA. ( I told you I'm pissy.) The second lien holder decided it wants more money and the owners couldn't afford it, so the realtors took a big commission cut and are paying off the second lien holder so they will approve the short sale so we can all close. Did you read that right, the REALTORS are paying off the 2nd lien holder. Yeah, true story. After all this, still no word from the second lien holder, our realtor is growing more and more upset and the guy in the middle (our negotiator) that is suppose to get things done, talk to the banks, keep us informed, yada-yada but can't spell a word to save his life and sends tweets to, you aren't going to believe this, SPENCER PRATT! True story, I googled our negotiator and was not surprised to find, he describes his negotiating and closing style as "patient". No crap, he's patient, I have other words I can describe his style with but will bite my tongue. For craps and giggles though, let me give you a lil chunk of his blog, you'll love this...

"Fannie Mae is now condusting their own appraisals behind those the lender or servicer orders. Fannie takes its own seet time to get this done, too. "

"We have to determine that we are here to hel pa public understand where we are..."

So, yeah, you get the picture. This is our negotiator's professional blog, this is the guy that closes the deal, and he can't even proof read... probably because he's shooting the S with Speidi. Nice.

Perhaps our negotiator and the prior owner, aka: Christian author, can get together and internet stalk Heidi's fake tits and let the rest of us actually get something done. In the meantime, I've got to pack.. again.

Sour Sally

Blah, blah, blah, happy new year. I'm kind of lame today, a little annoyed maybe, running low on patience, REALLY LOW ON PATIENCE am tired and feeling fat. Ugh.

Let me clarify. I'm incredibly lucky. I have an amazing husband with great abs, a cutie super smart son, the best and coolest friends, new diamond earrings (Did I tell you guys this?! They are gorgeous and HUGE! WOW!), I'm taken care of in every way. Things in my life in general could not be more perfect but can I just complain for a second?!

Short sales: rated S for STUPID.

They are the stupidest of stupid and I stick my tongue out at them.

We bid in August. It's now January.

Do you hear them? Do you hear them? I hear them... crickets.

Well, to be fair, we heard that the first lien holder approved. We now wait on the second. Guess they don't have much of a say but can hold up a sale and I'm sick of holding.

Speaking of holding, every time we get a hold of the sellers agent, he says, and I'm not joking, "Oh yeah, hey! Weird, I'm on hold with the bank for you RIGHT NOW! Call you back!"

And then do you know what we hear?

Crickets.

Like he is on hold for months. That is one expensive phone bill. I don't get it. If a bank in a foreclosure can approve a deal in a matter of minutes (and we know this, thanks to the Breck house), but how in the world does a bank take so dang long. The amount we bid under the listing price would of been made up in mortgages payments by US at this point.

We are having a baby in May and swear on Liza Minnelli, if they don't approve soon, I'm going to talk to Geoff about looking at other places OR we will just be squatters. Not only do I want to be squished in here with two kids, a husband and my hormones, but I think we have a renter that needs to be moved in Feb. 1st. The renter is GREAT news (unless it falls through) and I don't feel like we should lose this 12-24 month lease because a stupid bank has communication issues and loads of excuses.

I warn you, unless you have a year to spare and maybe more DO NOT BID ON A SHORT SALE! They suck BALLS and you may murder someone in the process.

It's January 1st, I had the most amazing year, we have so many more amazing things to look forward to and I'm wallowing in frustration. Somebody slap me.

All I'm hearing today is how happy people are, maybe a little hungover but happy and thankful. Misery loves company and I'm throwing a pity party. Who wants in? Tell me, WHAT is PISSING you off?! It's okay, vent away, I'm here for you!

Oh, one more thing THIS post just made me laugh, so after joining my piss party, check him out!

Things that are going on.

I didn't actually TELL you guys because I thought once I said it, I wouldn't be able to do it, totally go blank, but turns out I still failed.

Last year, the thing that kicked off this blog was National Blog Posting Month, NaBlPoMo or something like that. Aren't the initials a little too long to be helpful? Anyway, you are suppose to blog EVERY DAY! Seriously, every day for a month. I got like three in a row and was so proud, I wanted to take my OWN temperature, you know, just to make sure I was still okay.

And I failed because there is no post yesterday. I MEANT to post, I even had stuff to say, but the day just flew by, just like the last few months have. I mean, did you guys know it's November? It's not August, or September and I'm pretty sure October got skipped but it's NOVEMBER!!! I can't believe it! Yeah, so, a day got by me, oops.

Since I've been asked, here is the deal with the house...

I have NO clue what real estate language means! Until yesterday, we have not heard back from anyone. All this waiting is driving Geoff nuts but somehow along with all the crazy I've become, I've also become patient. It's like patience is my new super power. I'm all super power patient... with EVERYTHING!!! I'm also not all obsessive about things (Weird huh, Aurora?!?!) and fell back in love with our little condo. I was checked out long ago, got annoyed at it often and was sure the hormones, once I became pregnant, would make it worse. But it didn't. I'm happy here and am going to miss it when it's gone but the key word, is it eventually needs to be GONE. We have to sell and until we do, there isn't a house for us. So, all this waiting was good, no sold condo equals no bought house and I was fine, patient.

BUT yesterday we got a few emails in some other language that wasn't offered in my high school foreign language selection and now I have NO idea what is going on.

Story: My step grandpa is super smart, creative, funny; he INVENTS things! I thought this was soooo cool when I was younger. One day on the drive back from his place my friend and I asked my step mom how growing up with him was. It had to be awesome, right? Your dad just builds and invents cool toys and games and plays with you all the time. It's like a dream! I'll never forget her story. She said it had its drawbacks. For Halloween one year, she wanted to go to some party, dress as some thing BOUGHT from a store. It was cool back then, you know, to BUY your costume. Purchasing wasn't going to do it though and her dad had it covered. She came home one day to the most bizarre outfit sitting on her bed: pants with one leg cut off, crazy shirt that wasn't a long sleeve or a short sleeve, different socks, etc. After finding out that THIS was indeed her 'new costume', she asked what the heck she was suppose to be. The answer? A Confuse-A-Cat. You walk down the street and confuse all the cats. A Confuse-A-Cat. She was mortified.

I feel like that is exactly what real estate language is. A big Confuse-A-Cat. We get this email that says the file has been closed but a closed file can always be reopened and the new negotiator is unwilling to negotiate the price further. Well, we didn't ask to negotiate the price any further and why is the file closed if you keep extended the foreclosure date? The agent also said something about finding their bottom price and junk. I don't get it. Say what you mean. If the bank doesn't want to negotiate any more from OUR price, than accept our price! If they don't want to negotiate from the asking price, then don't accept our price and we'll OFFER you the ASKING price. But MAKE A MOVE! We are not far off from the asking price as it is, basically if the bank wasn't so dang wishy-washy, they would of made that difference in mortgage payments by now. I think the whole letter meant, we are going to say a bunch of stuff to confuse you because we actually haven't done a damn thing including winterize! I would of been so much happier and less confused if the email I got back simply said, "Confuse-A-Cat." Cool, I get it, thanks, makes TOTAL sense, I'll keep waiting!

I'm shutting up now, I have to make sure I have more to say tomorrow, you know for National Blog like a Lunatic Month.

Peace, love and confusing outfits,

me.

Ready, Set, GO!

I've been busy. Being annoying. I'm pretty sure Geoff and I are the most annoying people on real estate buyers planet. Do they have that planet? We should be dropped off on that planet where all realtors who don't want to deal with annoying buyers are NOT. Run, run far away.

Them: It's a short sale, it's going to take a while.

Us five seconds later: Do they have an answer yet?

Us ten seconds later: Do they have an answer NOW?

Us one full (FULL I say!) Mississippi second later: How 'bout now?

Them: NO!

But I heard annoying works. Like you get put back on top of the bank short sale and foreclosure pile and I think it's true. We were told it should be about three months until they get back to us and we heard back this morning.

THIS MORNING!

Let me repeat, we heard back this morning. They countered our offer and said we must pay closing and we are going to accept.

We are wussy fighters. Basically we are telling the banks MERCY!. YOU WIN BANKS! WE are in LOVE with your house, we will do anything, bow at your feet, kiss your ten toes, whisper sweet nothings in your ear!!!

I know this is just the first step in many steps. Maybe the first step in a freaking long marathon race where they spaced out the water stations WAY too far away from each other.

We are going to run it anyway!

The Last Supper

Confession: I have a new obsession.

Elk antler chandeliers.

I know right? WHERE THE HELL DID THAT COME FROM?!?!

We are back to looking at houses. We are, we are. I'm a little less spastic. A little less 'OMG IF I DON'T GET THIS HOUSE I MAY DROP OVER DEAD!' Isn't that sooo good for me?!

Here is the thing, our condo has been on the market for a while ( Anyone? Anyone?) and Geoff has been out of a job but thank freaking everything, he had a little interview yesterday. So, we were on the hunt.

And we found one.

And we put in a bid.

And I heart it with my beating bloody muscle of a heart.

But just when I THOUGHT I wasn't going to go crazy or mentally decorate each room or mentally pick out the furniture and paint colors and scour HGTV's Rate my Space page for rooms I want to copy, I got worse.

I became obsessed with finding the perfect chandelier for our new dining room. Our dining room in the house in the mountains.

(Found here)

Did you hear that? I said 'our' like it's ours already BUT check it out!

Do you like it? Do you like it? Too bad for me because that one cost like a gazillion dollars and I don't make that much money teaching aerobics.

So, I've been scouring Ebay and found a few I like and almost put in a bid... until I realized we DIDN'T have the house (yet) and WHAT would I do with the thing? Where would I hang it?

It would make a great entry way piece here except our ceiling is too low and it would cause severe puncture wounds to anyone that walked in our door. That isn't a very welcoming welcome.

I thought over our current dining room table but again the whole ceiling height thing stands in the way. It would look like an exaggerated thorn crown over the heads of all our dinner guests. We would all look like really uncomfortable eating and drinking Jesus'.

We could hang it above our bed but then again where would we sleep?

I didn't purchase the chandelier and am thinking I should stick to diaper bags.
